About Us

Wildfire Engineering is a full service upgrade, maintenance, and repair shop focusing on exotic, sports and high performance street vehicles. From Formula Fords to Ferraris, no job is too big or too small, too simple or too complex.

We have experience designing, developing, and repairing both modern and classic road cars with values into the millions of dollars, as well as engineering experience ranging from engine design, to hypercars, to Formula 1.

Our Founder
Pat Wildfire grew up in a small town in West Virginia, and from an early age had a strong affinity for vehicles and speed. A BS and MS engineering graduate from West Virginia University, he has worked as both engineer and mechanic for a broad array of companies, ranging from engine work at Toyota and Cummins, to advanced engine R&D. Along the way he spent some time in the R&D department at Renault F1 Team, and most recently as Lead Development Engineer for SSC North America (Shelby Supercars).

Since forming Wildfire Engineering, he offers engineering consulting services to technology companies, fabrication shops, auto makers, and race teams, as well as maintenance services to local exotic car owners and amateur racers.

Pat also loves to spend time at the race track. He has been helping others out as a high performance driving instructor for over 10 years, and winning races in his SCCA Prototype 2 car on his own time. Pat holds 3 track records, one Northeast Region SCCA Championship, and numerous race wins, with more coming in all the time!

Our Passion
Wildfire Engineering is not a specialist shop. We love many types of vehicles, and we enjoy the variety of stepping up to new challenges every day.

We offer a unique mix of engineering knowledge and hands-on experience, which allows us to solve difficult design and troubleshooting tasks systematically and with maximum efficiency. We offer competency in a wide range of fields, from mechanical, dynamic, and electrical system design and repair, to machining, fabrication and specialty welding.

As a customer, this means you can trust us with your prized vehicles, and rest assured in the guarantee that we can help repair that troublesome issue just as easily as we can find you that last 1/10 of a second at the track.

Our Mission
Our business is based on our love of cars, so we understand how important the proper treatment of your ride can be. We think a few simple ideas can make the difference between a great experience and a terrible one.
  • We do it right the first time. We aren't in this to save a minute or a penny at the expense of an issue that will come back to haunt you later.
  • Communication is key. It's your car, and your priorities. If we are unsure or uncomfortable about something, we won't proceed until we know exactly what you want.
  • Careful is better than cheap. We will take the time to treat your car at least as well as you do, and to make sure that it comes back to you in better shape than you left it.
  • One test is worth 100 guesses. The most expensive projects are often when repairs or designs are not thought through. We will take the time to make sure we have a clear plan in place before we start building or replacing things.
